Vision Statement

DJI’s vision is to cultivate a vibrant, welcoming downtown that:

• Inspires connection and opportunity for all
• Serves as a dynamic and innovative hub at the heart of the community
• Fosters economic vitality
• Celebrates community

This volunteer-led organization hosts and supports many signature events throughout the year that increase foot traffic, generate economic impact for our local businesses, and fosters a sense of community for our residents and visitors. 

DJI also leads seasonal plantings and beautification projects throughout the downtown. We actively market the downtown both locally and throughout southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois to encourage visitors to discover our shops, restaurants, bars, entertainment venues, riverfront, and murals.
